**It is with absolute heartache that I post my first journal.**

1976 - 2008

One of my greatest mates of all time died tragically last week in Nice, France. Instead of going into the details, I would much rather tip my queef in remembrance of him.

Jay Rose was my friend.

He introduced me to Manga and crap punk bands and I introduced him to crap movies and Dan the Automator.

He hassled me about collecting Transformers and I gave him stick about collecting 'toys'.

We drank a lot of beer.

We used to take the work van on the sly and go see underground hiphop. Or metal. Or punk. Or beats.

We went out of our way to follow REALLY, REALLY bad bands around Sydney - just for laughs.

We drank a lot of beer.

We got into up and comers like Moby, Black Eyed Peas and Limp - years before they were both popular AND crap.

We spent many lost nights walking around the inner city, drinking longnecks and discussing the finer points of life.

We drank a lot of beer.

We invented new and extremely clever words.

And we gave stick to everyone.

We became mates when he started at my work some 12 years ago.
Despite the fact that I was both younger than him and his supervisor, we got REAL tight, REAL quick. Hence, I had to constantly cover for him coming in late and getting nothing done! We used to laugh ALL day long with music cranked (much to the annoyance of some of the other workers, but hey - I was in charge).

Jay had been living in the US for the last few years and I moved interstate 3 years ago, but we always stayed in touch. The last time he came back to Australia, I jetted back to Sydney - just to laugh.

And laugh we did.

JayLord,

you will NEVER be forgotten.

The Queef.

And you've still got my Voltrons, biatch.

Thank you very much, mate.

Things have been a bit hectic with 12 hour night shifts for the last coupla months, but I've been working on a few things (like my first Transformers Mosaic).

Got a new computer too, so will be posting some coloured stuff shortly.

Thanks for the kind words, and stay in touch.

Heya, Capital F!

I've had my computer crash at home and I'm currently working interstate. I have access to a computer (sometimes) and a new scanner should be arriving in a couple of days.

I've got HEAPS of stuff to post when it does, Bot mode Screamer included. Is my current seeker high res enough for you? If so , I'll send it to you as is today. It's got faction symbols now.

If not, let me know and I'll rescan at high res and send that in a few days.

Looking forward to seeing whatever you do.

I'll even let you pick which Bot it'll be.

Heh..

as if I don't know who it'll be..

Greetings and salutations!

This generic notice has been submitted to your personal community message board on account of your having exhibited an enviable flare for artistic delivery through use of your gallery space, in conjunction with a presumed affinity (to a certain degree) with the enduring Transformers franchise. As one might credibly discern from my elected pseudonym, I am something of an unabashed Transfan, myself!

So why the impromptu dissertation, you might well ask? :aww: Simply put, I am seeking to make new acquaintances, through the basis of common interest. ;) With the protracted Hollywood Writer's Strike™ now reportedly brought to an acceptable resolution, production on the Dreamworks picture, "Transformers 2", seems good to go. :boogie: Whether this is a good thing or not, however, remains to be seen... Which would bring me to my primary contention: upon its much-anticipated theatrical release, I (foolhardily?) instigated a quasi-official discussion thread with regard to public impressions of Michael Bay's take on this beloved premise. :D The forum in question can be conveniently found here: [link]

Please rest assured that one needn't feel compelled to digest the entirety of my long-winded review (I do admittedly comport a tendency to WAFFLE...!). :blahblah: Rather, I'd just like to hear what you may have thought of "Transformers" (the movie, the mythos, the merchandising), what you might conceivably be expecting of "Transformers 2" (hopes, fears, rumours), hell, even just what you might happen to think of "Transformers: Animated", for that matter! The topic is open of interpretation (within reason), so feel free to swing by and have your say. :ahoy:

Hope to hear from you soon! :excited:

No prob. I love Mosaic. I eagerly await every posting. There is some real talent around. Great to see.

Can anyone send stuff in? Can you pass on finished line art to colourists, or do you have scripts waiting for artists? i would love to become an active part of the mosaic universe one day.
